Supporting Black Youth
Black Youth Project
BYP is headquartered in Chicago, but has chapters in cities nationwide. BYP examines the attitudes, resources, and culture of Black millennials, and conducts research, shares knowledge, and takes action to better support Black youth. BYP offers several ways people can become involved and contribute including writing articles related to racial injustice, LGBTQIA+ issues, and feminism.

The American
Civil Liberties Union
The ACLU seeks to ensure constitutional freedoms for every gender, race, and sexual orientation. The ACLU has a state chapter in each of the 50 states, and is comprised of attorneys and volunteers who are committed to protecting civil liberties in our country. Common issues addressed include free speech, human rights, racial injustice, and criminal justice. Members and nonmembers alike have multiple opportunities to lobby with ACLU.
Advancement Project
Advancement Project is a civil rights organization whose mission is to "fulfill America's promise of a caring, inclusive, and just democracy." The organization uses innovative tools to strengthen social movements and achieve high-impact policy change. Volunteers have a wide array of opportunities to get involved, and the site offers an abundance of resources and information.
Equal Justice Initiative
The Equal Justice Initiative is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, to challenging racial and economic injustice, and to protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people. EJI works with communities that have been marginalized by poverty and discouraged by unequal treatment. The EJI is committed to changing the narrative about race in America.
