About the event

Police brutality is not new for Black Americans, but the recent trends in technology have increased the exposure given to the issue. Black children may be exposed to these incidents either in their community or via media and social media. As caregivers, it can be difficult to know how to talk to your children about what they see, and even harder to help them process their emotions. Registered Play Therapist, April Duncan, will discuss different activities you can do with your child to help them process their emotions in a safe manner. Join us for an interactive discussion on how to protect your child's emotional well-being while also keeping them informed about current events.
