Webinar Description:

Lego building in play therapy sessions can be a useful tool for adolescents and teens to address common mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and trauma. This webinar will engage play therapists in lego building skills to integrate into individual, family and group play therapy sessions. Seminal theories such as Adlerian Play Therapy, Ecosystemic Play Therapy and Child-Centered Play Therapy will be explored in their application in Lego building in the playroom. This experiential webinar will allow participants to apply Legos with clients in various settings, including mobile play therapy applications. 

 

Learning Objectives: 

  1. Describe the use of Child-Centered Play Therapy in Lego building activities in play therapy sessions.

  2. List directive prompts to integrate Lego building activities in play therapy sessions with adolescents and teens.

  3. Assess the use of Lego building in group play therapy sessions.

  4. Identify prompts to engage families in Lego building activities in family play therapy.

  5. Analyze the use of Lego building activities to address common mental health issues in adolescents and teens.

  6. Explain Adlerian Play Therapy techniques to apply in Lego building activities.
