Workshop Description: 
Play therapy seminal theories applied in the sand tray can ground a play therapist in their approach in implementing sand tray in the playroom. This workshop will explore the use of play therapy seminal theories in sand tray with clients of all ages. Participants will explore the different ways to process sand trays such as confronting discrepancies in Gestalt Play Therapy, supporting the Crucial C’s in Adlerian Play Therapy and address cognitive distortions in Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy.

Discuss sand tray prompts to use for Adlerian Play Therapy sessions.
Explain the use of Child-Centered Play Therapy with sand tray in play therapy sessions.
